THE OVERVIEW...

Come experience one of the coolest parts of Mexico at one of the best pickleball facilities in the world, Palmas Pickleball Resort! Los Barriles is a chill, laid back town on the East Cape of Baja California Sur, Mexico. It's known for its white sand beaches, sport fishing, and water sports like kitesurfing and windsurfing. It just so happens that it is also home to an incredible 24 court pickleball facility with an amazing bar and restaraunt, wink wink. Located on the Sea of Cortez, Los Barriles offers a more relaxed alternative to Cabo, and attracts travelers looking to experience real culture while partaking in outdoor activities like diving, off-roading, and whale watching. As well, this relaxed little town also offers absolutely incredible food. I can personally tell you that literally everything I ate there was amazing! Every. Thing. For realsies.

Join us in this breath taking location for a 4 day camp intended to elevate your game by focusing on strategy, shot selection, execution, form, and of course adding some weapons to your arsenal. Wink wink. Students will be grouped by skill, making sure that you get the most out of your experience by having drill partners on your level. At the end of the 4 days of instruction, there will be a an opportunity to test out your new skills by participating in a Mini Tournament / Money Ball event! In addition to the camp, you will opportunities for evening Open Play and court reservations. Los Barriles attracts lost of pickleballers over the season from all over, and there are always new people to meet and play with! 

While we all love spending time on the pickleball court, there will also be options for non-pickleball related fun. Yes, it's a thing, lol. We will have optional excursions available during some of the down time exploring the natural beauty of the area as well as the best margaritas and beach bars, lol. 

THE DETAILS...

Now that I've enticed you this far, let's get down to the knitty gritty, so to speak.

HOW MUCH ARE FLIGHTS, and HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET THERE?

Great question. Flights are in the $400/$450 range (obviously there is some variance here) for that week. And yes, that is round trip. Good deal, right? And it's easy to get to. For example, last time I went down I flew through SLC. So it was about an hour to there, and then 2 hours and 45 minutes to SJD Cabo. Easy peasy! 

HOW DO I GET FORM THE AIRPORT TO LOS BARRILES?

This depends on whether you choose the 2 BEDROOM CONDO PACKAGE, or decide to do everything ala carte (with our help, obvi, if you want it) so to speak. With the package transportation to and from the airport is included and set up for you. Ala carte style you have options! We can help you arrange private transport if you'd like, but honestly the best way is to take the "bus" (it's really a clean, new, air conditioned shuttle van). It's only about $20 one way, and very easy to manage. I can hold your hand through the whole process, should you want me to, lol. The only thing with the bus options is you want to make sure you take early-ish flights (TONS of options), as there is a 12:30 and a 2:30 bus from the airport to Los Barriles. It really is super easy though, so don't let that stress you. 

WHAT ABOUT TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM THE COURTS, AND AROUND TOWN?

The good news here is Los Barriles is small and quite walkable. If you choose to do the 2 bedroom condo package, you will be staying adjacent to the courts so you'll be all set. As well, there are a bunch of vacation rentals that are walkable, some right next door, to the courts as well. So no problemo! You always have the option to rent a quad or side by side while on your stay as well, and we can help you with that. While not at all necessary for getting to pickleball, food , the beach etc, it is very Baja and could be something you'd want to try out. 

IS THERE FOOD INCLUDED IN ANY OF THESE PRICES? 

Nope! And we think that's a good thing. Everyone has different eating habits, and being tied down to a certain hotel buffet or restaurant doesn't sound that amazing when there are so many delicious and budget friendly options to choose from. 

OKAY...SO WHAT NOW?

In the drop down below you will find two options. One is the 2 bedroom condo option, the other is the "a la carte" option. 

The two bedroom condo option is priced at $1390/person (based on occupancy of 4), and includes the following:

*6 nights lodging at in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo (one room with one king bed, the other room has 2 queen beds) at the Hotel Palmas De Cortez. These suites also come with a living room area equipped with a Flat screen TV, complete kitchen and dining room with ocean views. The hotel is adjacent to the courts and a very short walk. It's also very centrally located to a ton of area restaurants and shops, in addition to having two onsite restaurants and direct beach access. Truly the location and ease of this option can't be beat! 

*Transportation to and from the airport.

*4 day camp (held from 9am-11am Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday) with a 4 to 1 student to coach ratio. 

*4 day passes to Palmas Pickleball Resort. If you want to play on other days, passes are available for purchase. This gets you access to the club for the entire day/evening so you can come back after camp and practice your new skills with the locals! 

*A meet and greet social hour Sunday including one AMAZING margarita and unlimited good times. 

*Essentially you'll also be getting access to your own personal tour guide(s) and will have the option to participate in optional excursions, paid for separately. 

*A $380 deposit is required upfront (per person) to reserve this option. I will follow up immediately following your reservation to answer any questions, and book the condo. We will need the balance paid in full by February 13th. 

The A LA CARTE option is $380 per person and includes the following: 

*4 day camp (held from 9am-11am Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday) with a 4 to 1 student to coach ratio. 

*4 day passes to Palmas Pickleball Resort. If you want to play on other days, passes are available for purchase. This gets you access to the club for the entire day/evening so you can come back after camp and practice your new skills with the locals! 

*A meet and greet social hour Sunday including one AMAZING margarita and unlimited good times. 

*Essentially you'll also be getting access to your own personal tour guide(s) and will have the option to participate in optional excursions, paid for separately.
